Calculate the sum-of-years depreciation of an asset for a specified period. The following equation is used:

$SYD=\frac{(cost-salvage)*(life-per+1)*2.0}{life*(life+1.0)}$

Parameters

cost	The initial cost of the asset.
salvage	The value at the end of the depreciation.
life	The number of periods over which the asset is being depreciated, i.e. the <em>useful life</em> of the asset.
per	The period for which to calculate the depreciation.

Returns

The depreciation of the asset.
