As a programmer, there are two main ways that you
can earn money with CodeCogs.com:
Submit code directly to the site
You can submit any code
that you have to the site at any time. It will then
be reviewed by a member of the CodeCogs.com team who
will test the code and proof read the documentation.
Minor adjustment will be made for free, but if we feel
your submission will take longer than 1hr to correct,
it will be returned to you. Subject to approval your
module will then be published on the site. Other site
users will then be able to view your work and you will
automatically receive royalties* for any commercial
license that are sold. The price of the licence is set
by you and can be changed at any time. You may also
upgrade the licence type at any time. All this is done
via the “Submitted Code Page” on the “My
Cogs” tab (see below).

Bid to develop code for another
user
You can bid to develop a piece of code that another
member has requested. If that person accepts your bid,
then you develop the software and get paid the amount
agreed upon*. To view the modules that are currently
wanted click on the “Modules Wanted” item
on the “Contribute” tab.
* minus the CodeCogs charge. The type of licensing
policy that the requester has opted for will determine
the fee that we charge. For more details click here.
Managing your Submitted Code
After you have submitted your code, you can
adjust the details at any time using the “Submitted Code Page” on the “My
Cogs” tab. Through this page, you can also adjust the licence type
and the price of the module. Please note that once a module
is made available under a particular type of licence, you can not subsequently withdraw the availablity of this module under that licence.
If your submission is in responce to a bid, then you according to the terms
of the contract you may loose control over the submitted code. However, you will still be able view the submission, and post updates to the controller (usually the person who requested the software).
